Sjećanje na Relju Bašića (1930.-2017.)

Vikend Filmskoga arhiva ovaj je put posvećen velikom hrvatskom filmskom i kazališnom glumcu i redatelju Relji Bašiću. Program čini pet naslova među kojima je, naravno i nezaobilazni film Tko pjeva zlo ne misli, koji je i danas na prvome mjestu najboljih hrvatskih klasika, a gospon Fulir u nenadmašnoj interpretaciji Relje Bašića predstavlja sukus tadašnjeg Zagreba, provincije koja je izigravala metropolu.
Odlične uloge ovaj je glumac dao i u filmovima Milioni na otoku, Kužiš stari moj, kao i u Ljubavnim pismima s predumišljajem. Ciklus zaokružuje još jedan klasik hrvatske kinemtografije Rondo, Zvonimira Berkovića, komorni film sa sjajnim glumačkim trojcem - Milena Dravić, Stevo Žigon i Relja Bašić.

Synopsis:

Glista, originally from the city’s outskirts, is a young stud who resells tickets in front of the movie theatres. These days, however, young people prefer disco clubs and Glista loses his job. He and his friend Kurbla slowly drift apart - Glista lives an unrealistic bohemian life, while Kurbla adapts to the times. Glista does not know what to do; he doesn’t want to collect scrap iron, like his dad, but he doesn’t really have much choice…

Synopsis:

Every Sunday, lonely bachelor and refined judge Mladen goes to play chess with his friend, sculptor Feđi. Slowly, he engages in a love affair with Neda, Feđa's wife, and almost invisibly, a love triangle forms. Chess board is the central part of the film, as moves on the board reflect emotions of the characters... Zvonimir Berković's debut film, the first and the only Croatian chamber film, the classic of Croatian cinema, whose film structure was built on the principle of the musical form rondo....

Scalpers Tigar and Yellow follow the boys from Zagreb to the seaside trying to steal their money…

He Who Sings Means No Harm

Synopsis:

The story takes place in Zagreb at the beginning 1930s. Young and attractive Mrs. Ana Šafranek starts to feel unhappy in her marriage to an older husband, Franjo. During their trip to Samobor, the charming Mr Fulir conquers Ana’s heart and, soon after their return to Zagreb, he visits her at home. Ana’s sister Mina, an old spinster, also likes Mr. Fulir and Franjo gets the idea to marry Mina to Mr. Fulir. Ana and Franjo’s small son Perica witnesses all of these adventures.

Synopsis:

Musicologist and professor Kosor wakes up in a hospital. He has survived a serious car accident. In a bed next to his lies the amiable economist Gajski, whose wife Melita regularly visits him. This unusually beautiful woman is the first person that Kosor sees after he gains consciousness and is completely enchanted by her. Kosor becomes obsessed by Melita’s physical beauty and her trustworthy character and begins a risky game of writing and sending her anonymous love letters…
