Damiani is an Italian screenwriter and director who began his film career making short documentaries in the late 1940s. Later he worked as a screenwriter and directors’ assistant. He made his directing debut with Red Lips (Il rossetto, 1960) and his other films include The Empty Canvas (La noia, 1963), Strange Obsession (La strega in amore, 1966), “spaghetti” western A Bullet for the General (Quien sabe?, 1967), The Day of the Owl (Il giorno della civetta, 1968), I Am Afraid (Io ho paura, 1977), horror Amityville II: The possesion (1982), Lenin: The train (1990), and Killers on Holiday (Assassini dei giorni di festa, 2002).
