Director

Director and screenwriter who gained his first experience on film sets as assistant director to directors Enki Bilal (Bunker palace hotel, 1989) and Goran Marković (Tito and Me, 1992). He made his debut with the action comedy Strawberries in the Supermarket (2003) for which he also wrote the screenplay. Three years later he directed the musical comedy Gucha: Distant Trumpet (2006). For television he wrote and directed TV series Folk (2012 - 2014) and Sumnjiva lica (2016). Action drama Travelator (2014) is currently his last film and it was partly shot in LA, without an official permit for shooting.

Synopsis:

A teenager with the nickname Slovenian lives with his sick mother in a refugee neighborhood in Belgrade. He is a great video games player and in order to earn some money he accepts the job of a hitman. His target is a member of the Serbian mafia who is in Los Angeles. Through a combination of shots in Belgrade and Los Angeles the film portrays the squalor of the boy’s everyday life and the glittery but false attractiveness of Los Angeles in which he finds himself.
