Director

Italian director and screenwriter. He graduated in visual theory and history of film from the University of East London in 2002. Afterwards he directed his first short feature films. In 2007 he graduated from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome and then worked as assistant director on many projects. From 2010, he directed several documentaries, and in 2013 he made his debut directing thee feature film Il sud è niente (2013). He directed the documentary TV series Artists in Love (2016) and the documentary The Young Pope: A Tale of Filmmaking (2016) about the filming of the famous TV show by Paolo Sorrentino. His last film is the road comedy Il Padre d'Italia (2017).

Synopsis:

Thirty-one year old Paolo is experiencing a personal crisis after he recently broke up with his partner who decided to start a family. He spends his days working in a furniture store and his nights in nightclubs seeking short-term entertainment. Self-destructive singer Mia, about Paolo’s age, is now homeless and pregnant after her boyfriend left her. After a chance meeting in a club Paolo decides to help her. They travel to the south of Italy in search of the child’s father.
