Franco is a Spanish director, screenwriter and composer of film music. He began his career with the film Gospel (1969). Afterwards he also made El desastre de Annual (1970), Pascual Duarte (1975), El increíble aumento del coste de la vida (1976), Los restos del naufragio (Remains from the Shipwreck, 1978), Gringo mojado (In 'n Out, 1984), El sueńo de Tánger (The Dream of Tangiers, 1986), Oh, cielos (1994), Después de tantos ańos (1994), La buena estrella (Lucky Star, 1997) and Lágrimas negras (Black Tears, 1998). He composed the music in his films Gospel and El increíble aumento del coste de la vida.

Synopsis:

In his youth, Rafael lost a testicle in a work accident. He leads a quiet and lonely life. One morning he stops his truck to help Marina, a girl who has been beat up by her boyfriend, Daniel. She is pregnant, and even though Daniel wants her to have an abortion, Marina decides to keep the baby at any cost.
