Suharyadi is an Indonesian director, screenwriter and producer. He graduated film directing from the department for television and film at the Jakarta Institute of Arts in 1995. He was an actor, writer and film critic. As a director he made his debut with the short film Happy Ending (1996). He directed the TV musical for children Mencari Pelangi in 1988. In 1989, he received a scholarship and spent 9 months in Japan where he directed the feature film Pachinko (2000). He also directed the drama Cinta setaman (2008), horror Dikejar setan (2009), musical drama for children Melodi (2010), the first Indonesian 3D film Jenderal kancil: The Movie (2012). His last film is Sunya (2016).
