Kazuhiko Hasegawa

05.01.1946, Hiroshima, Japan

Hasegawa worked as an assistant director on two films by Tatsumi Kumashiro (Seishun no satetsu, 1974 and Africa no hikari, 1975) and several films by Shogoro Nishimura. He directed the films Seishun no satsujin sha (The Youth Killer, 1976) and Taiyo o nusunda otoko (The Man Who Stole The Sun, 1979) for which he also wrote the screenplay. He wrote screenplays for the films Seishun no satetsu (1974) and Yoi-machi-gusa (1974) directed by Tatsumi Kumashiro.

Synopsis:

A high school teacher builds an atom bomb in his house. He manages to steal plutonium and builds two warheads, which he uses for blackmail. He blackmails the television station because he wants the baseball games to be uninterrupted by commercials and the Rolling Stones because he wants them to have a concert in Tokyo. The police come after him but complications ensue when it turns out that he has been irradiated by plutonium.
