Torfinn Iversen

Graduated from the Nordland Art and Film School in 2009. He has written and directed numerous short films, many of which have screened at international film festivals. A Tale of Balloons, among others, screened at Clermont-Ferrand. In addition to writing and directing, Iversen is also an experienced cinematographer, editor and producer.

Synopsis:

Ten-year-old Gabriel loves to sing and has one desire: to sing in the local choir. The group rides kick-sleds through the snowy landscape of Northern Norway and is known for their kindness and charity towards the refugees from the village. But when Gabriel’s father gets into a fight with one of the local refugees, Gabriel’s quest to join them is jeopardized and he faces a new challenge. Subtitles: HR Age: 7+
