Director

Born in 1976 in Argentina. He lives and works in Buenos Aires. He attended a degree in Arts at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters (University of Buenos Aires). He directed the feature films Camuflaje (2022), Responsabilidad Empresarial (2020), Toponimia (2015), Tabula Rasa (2013), 17 Monumentos (2012) and El Predio (2010), and the short films 5-T-2 Ushuaia (2016), Las Aguas del Olvido (2013), Los Murales (2011) and 5 (cinco) (2008). Best Director BAFICI (2021), Special Jury Award (Documenta 2020), Critic’s Award (FIDMarseille 2015), two time granted Metropolitan Fund for the Arts and one time National Fund for the Arts. His films have screened at: Berlinale, Viennale, Rotterdam, IDFA, Art of the Real, FIDMarseille, Cinéma du Réel, Sheffield, Ji.hlava, Ficunam, Yamagata, BAFICI, IndieLisboa, Documenta, DokuFest, La Havana.

Synopsis:

Vizualna analiza niza gradova smještenih u zapadnom dijelu argentinske pokrajine Tucumán, koju je sredinom 70-ih godina osnovala vojna hunta čiji su nazivi imena vojnika poginulih u sukobima s tamošnjom gerilom. S minimalnim povijesnim uvidom, ograničenim na pregled službene dokumentacije, Perel se fokusira na bilježenje sadašnjeg života kroz fiksirane, petnaest sekundi duge kadrove kojima pokazuje kako je vrijeme nagrizlo pokušaj nametanja povijesne semantike, a zaborav i dalje briše tragove že...

Synopsis:

In Camouflage, writer Félix Bruzzone embodies a runner who has an obsession with Campo de Mayo, the biggest military unit in Argentina. It is also the place where his mother disappeared in 1976 and the main clandestine center of detention, torture and extermination during the last dictatorship. The film will follow Félix as he finds characters that allow him to enter and explore this place so loaded with history.
