Lima Jr. is a Brazilian director and screenwriter. He graduated with a law degree in 1962 and made the following films Boy of the Plantation (Menino de Engenho, 1965), Brazil Year 2000 (Brasil Ano 2000, 1969), The Lyre of Delight (A Lira do Delírio, 1978), Inocęncia (1983), He, the Dolphin (Ele, o Boto, 1987), awarded drama The Oyster and the Wind (A Ostra e o Vento, 1997), Um Crime Nobre (2001) and his latest Out of Tune (Os desafinados, 2008).

Synopsis:

This is a story about a group of friends who try to succeed as a band in 1960s Brazil. In a time when the Brazilian bossa nova becomes ever more popular, their group Os desafinados gets a small but significant chance at fame. A music producer from the US buys one of their songs and the group sets of to New York full of hope.
