Vincenzo Marra

Director
Vincenzo Marra was born in Naples on September 18, 1972. After working as a sports photographer, in 1996 he started to work in film and made two short films Una rosa prego and La vestizione. He worked as an assistant to director Mario Martone in the theatre (I sette contro Tebe) and in film (Teatro di guerra) as well as to Mario Bechis on Garage Olimpo. He won the Solinas award for the screenplay for Giorno per giorno. Tornando a casa is his first feature film.

Synopsis:

One day at a court in Naples: the protagonists are a seventy-year-old judge, his forty-five-year-old advisor Elena and the most famous criminal law attorney in Naples. They are all in charge of a mafia-related case. However, the film doesn’t only focus on the criminal case but also goes deep into these people’s lives, questions their way of being and the Italian judicial system.
