Sharon Maymon

With Tal Granit, Maymon was the co-director and co-screenwriter of the TV comedy Mortgage (2006) and the short film Laharog Dvora (2010). With Erez Tadmoro he co-directed the feature comedy A Matter of Size (2009).

Erez Tadmor (Herzlia, Israel, January 18, 1974)

Tadmor is an Israeli director, screenwriter and producer. He graduated from film school in Tel Aviv, and won many awards at international festivals for his first short film Moosh (2000). He then directed the short TV film The Little Prince (2001). With Guy Nattiv, he directed and wrote the screenplay for the short films Strangers (2003) and Offside (2006), as well as the feature film Strangers (2007). With Yaron Amitai, he made the documentary All Is Well by Me (2005), and with Sharon Maymon the feature film A Matter of Size (2009). With Guy Nattiv he wrote and directed Son of God (2011), which is currently in post-production.

Synopsis:

Herzl is an overweight cook who is unlucky in life. He is fired from a salad bar because of his poor looks and is even kicked out of a weight-loss program. However, it seems he will finally get a chance at a new job as a dishwasher in a Japanese restaurant. Its owner is Kitano, a former sumo trainer on the run from the yakuza. There, Herzl realizes that the sumo world honors and respects overweight people. He gets together a group of his friends and asks Kitano to train them.
