Director, screenwriter and editor, born in Iran. He came to Sweden as an eleven-year-old, and from 1998 to 2002 he studied documentary film directing at the Dramatic Institute. At that time, he already started making short documentaries and short films, among which Elixir (2004) stands out. His feature debut was a notable drama Sebbe (2010), which brought him the award for Best First Feature at the Berlin Film Festival 2010 and the Swedish Oscar - Guldbagge - for Best Film in 2011. After that, he directed Easy Money II (Snabba cash II, 2012), the sequel to a popular Swedish action film.

Synopsis:

Fifteen-year-old Sebbe lives with his mother in an apartment that is much too small. He is quiet and shy, bullied at school, and his relationship with his mother is not very good either.
