Mani Ratnam

 

Mani Ratnam studied management at the
University of Madras. He worked as an adviser for some time before he started
his film career. His father and brother were producers. It is believed that
Ratnam has revived Tamil film industry by filming movies with perfect
composition of scenes and in overall movies with the advanced technique
quality.The first movies in Tamil and even Malesian language didn’t bring him
greater success, but he had more luck with sophisticatedly made Mauna Ragam
1986. His next movie is considered his best but Roja from 1982 has made
him famous throughout the whole of India. In the late 80’s M. Ratnam introduced
a new style in Tamil Cinematography.

Synopsis:
