Roar Uthaug

Roar Uthaug was born in the Norwegian town Lørenskog. He graduated from the Norwegian film school and his graduation film The Martin Administration was the second Norwegian student film that was nominated for the Student Academy Awards by the AMPAS (The Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts and Science). The list of his films includes Cold Prey (2006), one of the best Norwegian horror films, Magic Silver (2009), Escape (2012) and TV series Hellfjord (2012). The Wave is his last film.

Synopsis:

An experienced geologist Kristian Eikfjord accepts a job outside of town. After registering smaller subterranean geological changes together with his colleagues, he becomes worried. His worst nightmares become reality and a catastrophe is unavoidable. He has less than ten minutes to react and in a race against time he tries to save his family and as many people as he can. The film won several awards.
