Seung-uk Oh

Director

South Korean director and screenwriter. He graduated from the art college of the National University of Seoul, and began his film career as assistant director to Kwang-su Park on his film To the Starry Island (Geu seome gago shibda, 1994). Afterwards he wrote the screenplay for the films Green Fish (Chorokmulkogi, 1997), romantic drama Christmas in August (Palwolui Keuriseumaseu, 1998) and thriller H (2002). He directed the crime drama Kilimanjaro (2000) and The Shameless (Mu-roe-han, 2014). For some time he taught as a professor at the Korean Academy of Film Art.

Synopsis:

Police detective Jae-gon Jung is following a member of the mafia, Joon-gil Park, who is the main suspect in a murder case. His former boss is urging him to solve the case as fast as possible. The detective grows impatient himself and accepts a financial stimulation for Park’s arrestfrom a company that Park stole from.
