Gačić is a journalist, director and screenwriter. He graduated in film and TV editing from the Academy for Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana in 2013. He also earned an MA in TV directing. He has been collaborating with the Slovenian television since 1999 as a journalist and director of documentaries. He also wrote for the famous magazine Mladina. He directed documentaries Večni student (2009), Kupi me! (2012) and Mako (2014), and hi most successful film is his feature film debut Boj za (2014) that won the Vesna award as best feature film at the Slovenian Film Festival in 2014.
