Director
Goda is a Japanese director and animator. He directed the medium-length film for adults and children Komaneko: The Curious Cat (2006), done in stop animation. Afterwards, he directed the short film PLUG, the New World (2011) and I'm Also a Bear (Boku mo kuma, 2012). He is the creator of the official mascot Domo for the Japanese company HNK that consists of several TV, satellite and radio channels. Once again using the stop animation, he directed several short popular promotional videos with Domo. His last two works are short animations Komaneko no orusuban (2013) and By Your Side (2014), film devoted to children, victims of tsunami in Japan in 2011.

Synopsis:

Twenty-six-year old Amalia from Santiago moves to Puerto Varas because her grandmother passed away. Upon returning to her mother’s home, with whom she has a complicated relationship, she meets the nine-year-old Cristóbal. His mother left him and he needs a new guardian. Together they embark on a journey through south Chile in search of the boy’s father. Slowly, we learn the intimate stories of Amalia and Cristóbal…
