Synopsis:
Director, screenwriter and producer Yang Ik-joon also plays the leading role of Sang-hoon. He works as a debt collector for the mafia so violence and insults are part of his daily routine. Through his unusual friendship with a high school girl, the film questions the causes of violence. In his youth Sang-hoon endured the violence of his own father and the girl he meets shares the same destiny. Her brother wants to join the mafia and her father is a war veteran who is also a violent alcoholic.
The film won more than twenty awards from Asian festivals to Karlovi Vari and Rotterdam.
