Synopsis:

This is an unusual road film about Travis, a man lost in his own private hell. Having been considered dead for four years, he appears in the desert at the Mexican border, tired of life and suffering from amnesia. His brother Walt picks him up and takes him to his house where Travis’ seven year old son Hunter lives. Travis and Hunter, at first complete strangers, become friends and together plan how to find Travis’ ex-wife Jane, Hunter’s mother, and bring her home.

The film won the Golden Palm in Cannes in 1984 as Best Film.
