Synopsis:

An expert for dynamite, Allan Karlsson, escapes from a nursing home on his 100th birthday. What follows is a series of incredible events…

Allan Karlsson is a silly man who only cares about explosives. His mother died when he was a boy and his father was a supporter of the right to contraception. Now his life starts to resemble “forrestgumpology” and this silly hero takes part in events that shaped the 20th century. This hilarious dark comedy is based on Jonas Jonasson’s bestseller.

This film won the audience’s award at the Chicago International Film Festival in 2014 and at the Durban International Film Festival in the same year.
