Ashby began his career as assistant editor and gradually advanced to become a director. He directed his first film The Landlord in 1970, and afterwards made Harold and Maude (1971), The Last Detail (1973), Shampoo (1975), Bound for Glory (1976) and Coming Home (1978).

Synopsis:

Synopsis:

Početkom zime dvojica pripadnika američke mornarice, Billy Buddusky i Richard Mulhall, dobivaju zadatak da privedu 18-godišnjeg mornara Larryja Meadowsa u mornarički zatvor, na izdržavanje kazne.
