Nir Bergman

Director
Nir bergman is a screenwriter and director. His first, thus far only, feature film is Knafayim Shvurot (Broken Wings, 2002). Before that, he wrote the screenplays for two short features Yomit (1997) and Sussei Yam (1998), his graduation film at Jerusalem’s Sam Spiegel film school. After his feature debut, he was the director and co-screenwriter of the TV series BeTipul (2005) and the director of several episodes of the series Migdalim Ba'avir (2008). Since 2005, he has worked at the drama department of the Israeli TV station Channel 10.

Synopsis:

After the head of the Ulamn family dies, the rest of its members try to cope with their loss, each in their own way. Mother Dafna stays in bed for three weeks, letting her teenage daughter Maya take care of the household, while the daughter’s musical career suffers. Her twin brother Yair gets suspended from school for problems stemming from his newly emerging nihilism. Six-year-old Bahr is neglected, while her younger brother Ido constantly films everything with a camera.
