Giovannesi is an Italian director, screenwriter and musician. He graduated in contemporary literature in 2002, as well as in directing at the Experimental center of Cinema in Rome in 2005. He directed several short films and documentaries, and his full-length feature debut was the drama La casa sulle nuvole (2009). He directed the feature documentary Fratelli d'Italia (2009) and the crime drama Ali Blue Eyes (Alì ha gli occhi azzurri, 2012). After a few more documentaries, he directed his currently last film, drama Fiore (Italy, 2016).
