Director
Comencini is an Italian Director and screenwriter, daughter of the director Luigi Comencini. After graduating in economy, in 1988, she made her directing debut together with Federico Caffe with the film Zoo. After that she directed The Amusements of Private Life (I divertimenti della vita privata, 1990), La fine è nota (1992, based on the novel by Geoffrey Holliday Hall), which won the Italian Golden Globe as best film in 1993, and Marriages (Matrimoni, 1998). In 1995, she directed the film adaptation of Susanne Tamaro’s novel Va' dove ti porta il cuore. After the films Liberate i pesci (2000) and The Best Day of My Life (Il più bel giorno della mia vita, 2001), she successfully adapted her own novel Don't Tell (La bestia nel cuore, 2005) or fim. Her romantic comedy Black and White (Bianco e nero) was shown at the Torino Film Festival in November 2007, and a few years later she directed the drama When the Night (Quando la notte, 2011) and the comedy Latin Lover (2015) starring a group of fine international actresses. In addition, Comencini is a famous writer of novels such as Pagine strappate (1991), Passione di famiglia (1994), Il cappotto del turco (1997) and Matrioska (2002).

Synopsis:
