Catti Edfeldt (Gävle, March 29, 1950) i Ylva Gustavsson (Stochkolm, Sweden, 1963)


Catti started acting as a young girl. For years, she worked as a casting director for film and television. From 1974 to 2006, she worked as an assistant director on 17 films. She directed several episodes of TV series and one film Eva & Adam: Four Birthdays and a Fiasc (Eva & Adam - fyra födelsedagar och ett fiasko, 2001), which was based on a TV series. She co-directed the film Kidz in da Hood (Förortsungar, 2006).



After graduating from the film school in Stockholm, Ylva attended a directing program at the Drama Institute. She is a director, screenwriter and producer of the short film Nightwalk (1998), director of the short comedy Det luktar Urban (2005) and co-writer and co-director of the feature film Kidz in da Hood (Förortsungar, 2006). She also directs music videos and documentaries.

Synopsis:

Amina is a nine-year-old African girl living illegally in Sweden. Her parents are dead and she lives with her grandfather. When her grandfather dies of a heart attack, she realizes that she will be deported from the country. The neighborhood kids led by Mirre decide to help Amina and she finds shelter with the tattooed rocker Johan.
