A Brazilian film and television director, he started his career directing commercials. He directed his first feature-length film, a family comedy O Casamento dos Trapalhões in 1988. He co-directed Os heróis Trapalhões - Uma Aventura na Selva (1988), together with Wilton Franco in the same year, based on the television comedy series Os Trapalhões. Carrying on in the same genre, he worked with Brazilian actor and comedian RenatoAragão and the rest of the Os Trapalhões crew. He directed A Princesa Xuxa e os Trapalhões (1989), Xuxa and the Goofies in the Mistery of Robin Hood (O Mistério de Robin Hood, 1990) and Os trapalhões E a Árvore da Juventude (1991). Starting in 1992, he devoted himself to television, for which he directed many series. He directed Zoando na TV in 1999. After directing the series So Normal (Os Normais, 2001) he made the film by the same title for the big screen So Normal (Os Normais - O Filme, 2003), again returning to television series afterwards. The following films In Therapy (Divã), and the sequel to Os Normais 2 - A Noite Mais Maluca de Todas were made by him in 2009. He has been continually active in television series, and his latest film Trap.com (Cilada.com) was made in 2011.
