Director
Luís Galvăo Teles is a Portuguese director, producer and screenwriter. He studied law and made his directing debut with the experimental Bestiaire (1970). By 1976, he had made many documentaries. His first feature film was the drama A Confederaçăo: O Povo É Que Faz a História (1978). Afterwards he made the documentary Morte no Tejo (1979), comedy A Vida É Bela?! (1982), drama Retrato de Família (1992), romantic comedy Elles (1997), TV film A Noiva (2000), comedy Tudo Isto É Fado (2004), short film Glamour (2005) and his latest film Dot.com (2006).

Synopsis:

Aguas Altas is a small village with thirty nine inhabitants in north Portugal. An engineer arrives in the village for work. In order to fill his free time he decides to make a web page for the village. All the villagers are supportive of the project but problems arise when a Spanish corporation claims the rights to the web page domain in order to promote its new mineral water.

Synopsis:

Portuguese Amadeu and Brasilian Leonardo are both thieves and inseparable friends whose motto is “Crime is a democratic profession - everybody can do it!” The two of them plan a robbery together with the fatal beauty Lia and a writer of crime novels rumored to have actually done all the murders he writes about in his books.
