Ghose is an Indian director and screenwriter. Even though he graduated with a degree in economics he was always surrounded with cinema world because his father was making documentaries. He began his career by directing commercials and in 1992 directed his first feature film Hirer Angti. His next film Unishe April (1994) was already a success and it won the Golden Lotus as Best Film at the Indian national film awards ceremony in 1995. Afterwards he made the acclaimed Dahan (1997), Bariwali (1999), Asukh (1999), Utsab (2000), Chokher Bali (2003), Raincoat (2004) and Antarmahal: Views of the Inner Chamber (2005). His last film Sunglass is currently in post-production.

Synopsis:

Stuck in an unfavorable situation, unemployed and without any money, Mannu decides to go to Calcutta and borrow some money from some old acquaintances. He also visits Neeru, his childhood sweetheart to whom he was once engaged. Even though they both have problems in their life both Mannu and Neera pretend to be happy, satisfied and successful in front of each other. But the real truth comes to light soon…
