John Olsson

Olsson is a Swedish director of photography, producer, director and screenwriter. He began his career in the 1970’s as a director of photography and worked on many feature and television films, series, videos and documentaries. He made his directing and screenwriting feature film debut with Blomstrande tider (1980). During the 1980’s he directed several other films and after a longer pause, his next film was Break Even (2005). He also directed and wrote the screenplay for a TV series. His last feature film is the drama Viskan Miracles (2015).

Synopsis:

Malin and Bjarne are a middle aged couple living on one side of the river Ljungan. Bjarne’s father in law Halvar lives on the other side of the river, but they have never met. A series of quarrels and problems connected to inheritance that happened twenty years ago caused the family’s estrangement. One day, Malin decides to cross the river. Bjarne wants to get a loan and Halvar is the only person who can possibly be their guarantor…
