Bénédicte Liénard

Bénédicte Liénard was born on April 25, 1965 in Mons (Belgium). She studied
directing at L Institut des Arts de Diffusion in Louvain la Neuveu.
Before making her debut with the feature film Une part du ciel(2002), she directed several documentary and short films. She worked as an
assistant to a few famous directors -- the brothers Dardenne, among others. She
is the author of the exhibition Les images libčrent la tęte, which is
based on photographs and videos about life in a Belgian prison. She received
many awards for her work and lives and works in Bruxelless.
