Aku Louhimies

Louhimiesis a director and screenwriter. He studied at university of art and design in Helsinki (film department). During his studies he made commercials, videos, documentaries and short films (Juna, 1995; Urpon ja Turpon salaisuus, 1996; Sirpaleita, 1996; Ensi tiistaina Brahmsia, 1998). He collaborated on the TV series Kotikatu (1995), Tähtitehdas (1998) and Sydänten akatemia (Academy of the Hearts, 1998) and made Isänmaan toivot (1998) and Irtiottojav (2003). His feature film debut is Levottomat (Restless, 2000), followed by Kuutamolla (Lovers & Leavers, 2002) and Paha maa (Frozen Land, 2005). He is currently filming the comedy Riisuttu mies (2006).

Synopsis:

Tuomas is a young hacker who wants to do something socially useful in his life. Elina is his fiancé, an intelligent and brave activist who studies history and political science. Niko is Tuomas’ friend who leads a hedonistic life, drinking and doing drugs. He forges a check for 500 euros and spurs the film’s story.
