Director

Luzar is a Slovenian screenwriter and director. He studies theology from 2000 to 2003, and then started to study directing at the Academy for Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Slovenia. He started his film career as co-screenwriter for short films directed by Matjaž Ivanišin and the TV film by Miha Hočevar Distorzija (2009), for which he was also assistant director. He also assisted the director Marko Nabersnik in his film Rooster's Breakfast (Petelinji zajtrk, 2007). In 2007 he graduated with the short feature Wolfy (Vučko, 2007) and later made his feature film debut with the comedy Good to Go (Srečen za umret, 2012). For the television he directed the humorous series Mamin dan (2014) and the film Dekleta ne jočejo (2015).

Synopsis:

Ivan is a retired music teacher who buys himself a grave with a beautiful view of the Alps. He goes to live in a nursing home where he wants to wait for his end to come. However, things don’t work out according to plan, and the opposite happens – at a computer course he meets Mrs. Melita… Good to Go is an inspirational story about a man who suddenly re-discovers the joy of life through close encounters with other people.
