Manuel Mozos

 

Mozos (born in 1959.) is a Portuguese editor, director and screenwriter. He studied history and philosophy and later enrolled in the Academy for Theatre and Film in Lisbon. He directed music videos and documentaries Lisboa no Cinema (1994), Cinema Portuguęs (1997), José Cardoso Pires - Diário de Bordo (1998), Censura: Alguns Cortes (1999). In 1989, he made the short film Um Passo, Outro Passo e Depois (1989), and in 1992 he directed his first feature-length film, Xavier. Afterwards, he made ...Quando Troveja (1999) and the short film Crescei e Multiplicai-vos (2000).

Synopsis:

When he was a small boy, Xavier’s mother left him in an orphanage. As an adolescent he was adopted by the family Alves. After a small incident, Xavier leaves this family and joins the military. The film follows his new and old friendships, loves, his reunion with his mother, business experiences and everything else in his life.
