Director
Pálfi is a Hungarian director and screenwriter. His first feature film Hukkle (2002) won an award for Best Debut and the critics’ award at the Hungarian Film Week as well as much acclaim at festivals around the world. Afterwards he directed the story Táltosember in the omnibus Jött egy busz... (A Bus Came..., 2003). His second feature film is Taxidermia (2006) and it won the grand prize, the critics’ award and also an award for Best Actress and Actor at the Hungarian Film Week in 2006.

Synopsis:

Pálfi’s feature film debut shows life in a small community in Hungary without using dialogue. Instead of using the usual verbal dialogue, the director opted only for gestures and facial expressions, while the sounds in the background are ordinary everyday sounds interrupted by the hiccupping of an old man waiting for a bus.
