Director

Biček is an editor, director and screenwriter. He graduated from the Academy for Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana. He directed the short feature documentary Družina (2008), short feature films Dan v Benetkah (2009) and Duck Hunting (Lov na race, 2010), which was his graduation film. He made his feature film debut with the drama Class Enemy (Razredni sovražnik, 2013) starring mostly amateur actors (the only professional actors are those in roles of professors). He was a guest at many film festivals and won several awards and got international attention.

Synopsis:

This film was the Slovenian candidate for an Oscar in 2014. It is based on real events that happened in a Slovenian high school when students rebelled against a professor of German language. Their conflict gets stronger with every passing day and the culmination happens when one of the students, Sabina, commits suicide.
