Götz Spielmann

Götz Spielmann was born in 1961 in Vienna. He studied film at the Vienna Film Academy. His short films Fremdland, Abschied von Hölderlin and Vergiss Sneider have won him wide acclaim and a new star of the Austrian film scene was born. In 1990 and 1991 he shot two motion pictures - Erwin und Julia and Der Nachbar. These were followed by two TV films - Dieses naive Verlangen (1992) and Die Angst von der Idylle (1994). He lectures film at the Grazer Schauspielschule as well as in several other film schools.
