Screenwriter and director, started his career in 2000 by writing scripts for TV and short films: afterwards he began to write scripts for feature films. He directed his first short film Entre o Desejo e o Destino in 2005. He made his feature film debut with the drama Quinze Pontos na Alma (2011). He wrote and directed his next feature, Florbela (2012), based on the biography of the Portuguese poet Florbela Espanca. The film was a big box office hit and in that same year he produced the TV series Perdidamente Florbela (2012).

Synopsis:

This is a biography of the Portuguese poet Florbela Espanca who lived in early 20th century. The film starts with her divorce from her second, violent husband António and continues with her marriage to the calmer and quieter Mário Lage. She is in love with him and in the desire to make the marriage work and to find her own peace, she almost becomes a housewife. Still, her restless spirit cannot resist her brother's invitation to join him in Lisbon… The film and the main actress have won three...
