Synopsis:
This is a film in two parts, without any text. This is the last of five films that the director made during his stay in China in 2003. The film is devoted to Shanghai, the cultural and industrial capital of East Asia. Shanghai’s prosperity began in the first few decades of the twentieth century when the biggest world powers identified their interests in this part of the world.
