Synopsis:
Mr. and Mrs. Lee, an old couple, live on a farm in a remote fertile valley in South Korea. Surviving from their own crops, the eighty year old farmer is very closely connected to his ox, an animal that has been helping him every day for forty years. He spends every day working in the fields, plowing, harvesting or collecting wood for the winter. Now both of them are old and their time together nears its end when the veterinarian finds out that the ox has cancer.
