Films from KKZ production made as part of 50 years of GEFF
As a supplement to the Croatian Film Yearbook’s section about the legend of Croatian experimental film, author of the idea of anti-film and one of the founders of Genre Film Festival (GEFF) Mihovil Pansini (1926-2015), we are showing his restored films: Osuđeni (1954) and Scusa signorina (1963), as well as the selection of films by other authors who took part at the festival (Vladimir Petek, Tomislav Gotovac, Karpo Godina...).
In the second part of the program, at a special screening at the occasion of the 50th anniversary of GEFF, for the first time we will show five internationally awarded films produced by Kinoklub Zagreb. Films by Dalibor Barić (Nepoznate energije, neidentificirani osjećaji, 2015), Tomislav Šoban (Kraj, 2015), Petra Zlonoga (Dota, 2016), Dragan Mileusnić and Željko Serdarević (X Tape, 2015) and Darko Vidačković (Machinae Novae 002, 2016) are not pure homage to GEFF, but rather create a unique film event that helps transform the festival’s basic inspiration with the help of contemporary knowledge and techniques.
As part of Yearbook’s Film Evenings we will host the discussion about Croatian experimental film „then and now“ and organize promotional sale of current and previous issues of the magazine.
