The end of the year is near and you are wondering where to spend New Year's Eve.
Is there a better way to ring in the New Year than singing, dancing and drinking champagne in good company? You will find all that in real life and in the movies - at your favorite film theatre in the Tuškanac Forest near the center of Zagreb. In high retro style, we will be showing the American musical On the Avenue, a gem from the 1930’s starring the unforgettable Dick Powell and Madeleine Carroll, with musical numbers by Irving Berlin such as Slumming on Park Avenue, He Ain't Got Rhythm, I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm and This Year's Kisses. After midnight, we will show the premiere of the biographical drama Amália about Amália Rodrigues, the famous Portuguese fado pioneer. All the songs in the film are original recordings of performances by this wonderful and unique singer.


The celluloid feast will be enriched by domestic food, fine champagne and accompanying music by the best DJ among filmmakers and best filmmaker among DJs - Dalibor Matanić. We will also feature live music from a young trio who will entertain you with the greatest hits from famous Hollywood musicals.

The theater will be alive with music and festooned with holiday decorations. At 8:00 PM, the doors will open and at the entrance all of our guests will be offered a big tub of popcorn and a free drink (water, coca cola, juice, beer – as well as a glass of champagne at midnight). The first movie begins at 9 pm. After the movie we will serve a traditional New Year’s meal of cabbage, baked beans, domestic sausages and homemade bread, vegetarian spreads and cookies (all included in the price of the ticket). Around 1 am we will start the second film.

The price of the ticket for the members of Film programs is 150 kuna, and 200 kn for everybody else. Tickets will be available at the ticket booth at Tuškanac from December 10, 2012, and if you have any questions our line 4834 039 is open for you.
