Broken Wings

(Knafayim Shvurot, 2002.)

Directed by: Nir Bergman
PHOTOGRAPHY: Valentin Belonogov

After the head of the Ulamn family dies, the rest of its members try to cope with their loss, each in their own way. Mother Dafna stays in bed for three weeks, letting her teenage daughter Maya take care of the household, while the daughter’s musical career suffers. Her twin brother Yair gets suspended from school for problems stemming from his newly emerging nihilism. Six-year-old Bahr is neglected, while her younger brother Ido constantly films everything with a camera.
