Emmanuel Naccache

 

Director

Emmanuel Naccache (1973) graduated from the international business school ESSEC in 1995. In 1998, he decided to move to Israel and spent the next six years working as a consultant and the vice president of a company. In 2002, he decided he wanted to direct and write screenplays, so with Stéphane Bélaďsch made the feature film Jerusalem Syndrom (2008).

Synopsis:

Jonas runs through the streets of Jerusalem. He does not remember anything, not even who he is. He suffers from “Jerusalem syndrome” and believes he is the prophet Jonah. In the city, he meets a colorful crowd that joins forces in a mission to save a young Russian prostitute from her Georgian pimp. The group includes an orthodox Jewish student and a grumpy soldier.
