A Spanish animation artist and the younger brother of designer Javier Mariscal, with whom he has worked at the Estudio Mariscal in Barcelona since 1998 when they collaborated on the animated television series Twipsy, named after the Expo mascot in Hanover. He is responsible for the audiovisual part of a multidisciplinary creative studio, he has directed various promotional and music videos. He co-directed Chico and Rita (2010) with Javier Mariscal, which was Mariscal’s debut film, and Fernando Trueba, who is a renowned feature film director, but was inexperienced at animation.
