Ghose is an Indian director and screenwriter. Even though he graduated with a degree in economics he was always surrounded with cinema world because his father was making documentaries. He began his career by directing commercials and in 1992 directed his first feature film Hirer Angti. His next film Unishe April (1994) was already a success and it won the Golden Lotus as Best Film at the Indian national film awards ceremony in 1995. Afterwards he made the acclaimed Dahan (1997), Bariwali (1999), Asukh (1999), Utsab (2000), Chokher Bali (2003), Raincoat (2004) and Antarmahal: Views of the Inner Chamber (2005). His last film Sunglass is currently in post-production.
