Szabolcs Hajdu

Hajdu is a Hungarian actor, director and screenwriter. He started his film career as an actor in the 1990s and then began directing in the last years of the 20th century. After two short films, Necropolis (1997) and Kicsimarapagoda (1998), he directed his first feature film Sticky Matters (Macerás ügyek, 2001), which won the award for Best Editor, Best debut at the Hungarian Film Week as well as the Hungarian critics’ award. Afterwards he made the drama Tamara (1994) and White Palms (Fehér tenyér, 2006), the short film Hétköznapi enciklopédia (2006) and the TV comedy Off Hollywood (2007). He is currently working on the film Bibliotheque Pascal.
