Synopsis:
We follow one day in the lives of several twelve-year-old kids in a small Turkish village. Ömer is the son of the much respected imam of the community, who treats his son so badly that the son secretly prays for his father’s death. Yakup is in love with the village teacher, and after she finds out that Yakup’s father is also in love with her, he wishes for him to die as well. Yildiz balances between her obligations in school and at home, she takes care of her younger brother and her own mother who treats her like a slave.
