Synopsis:
This romantic drama exposes the deep differences within Brazilian society through a love story. Nina and Dé meet on the famous beach Ipanema. They come from different worlds: Nina is the daughter of a successful, wealthy lawyer. She lives and goes to school close to the beach where Dé works as a junk food salesman. He lives with his mother in a poor neighborhood and, needless to say, Nina’s father does not approve of him. Although the couple is genuinely in love, their surroundings do not afford them many chances to triumph.
