During World War II the Italians kept their prisoners on the island of Mamula by Herceg Novi. There is a fort on the island and it is completely surrounded by sea. Moreover, to keep the intruders away, the ocupators placed underwater land mines around the island. After Italy's capitulation, Mamula is taken over by Germans, and the prisoners' only choice is to try and deactivate the land mines. If they succeed, they will be free.
